1. a. Define the term ‘principles’ in extension teaching (1.5 marks)
b. There are several principles of extension teaching. Identify and discuss five of
them with special reference to extension pedagogy. (7.5 marks)
c. Discuss with relevant examples five (5) implications of teaching process for
effective extension work in any developing country. (10 marks)
d. List and discuss five factors affecting learning in extension (10 marks)
e. What do you understand by extension teaching method? (1 mark).
2. a. As agricultural extension officer in Agricultural Development Project (ADP) in
your state or local government area, explain five considerations that must be
made while administering the award system to motivate the clienteles as well as
extension workers (10 marks).
3. The discourse on the characteristics of adult learners is an annunciation of the
principles that should guide the handling of an adult education programme.
Identify and expatiate five major principles of learning in extension (10 marks).
4. (a) Enumerate five (5) considerable factors in motivating extension workers (2.5
Marks)
(b) Explain briefly the concept of extension teaching methods (2 marks).
(c) Mention four (4) conditions necessary for effective utilization of instructional
methods in extension and discuss three of them (5.5marks).
5. (a) Discuss the concept of ‘comparative demonstration’ in extension (2.5 marks)
(b) Explain mass media methods and list three (3) methods under mass media
classification (4 marks).
(c) Expatiate on any one of the mass media method listed above (in 5b) (3.5 marks).
6. (a) What do you understand by the term communication in agricultural extension? (3

(b) Identify six essential elements in communication process in extension (3 marks).
