A statement is used which is Hence, the plural form ‘they’ must be replaced by ‘it’. The statement is not performing the action of ‘confirmation’. Hence, ‘it is confirmed’ is more appropriate.

The correct answer is option [B].

Solution: Common ratio, r = 12/36, 4/12= 1/3 and a = 36, therefore, Tn = ar [n  1] = 36[1/3] n -1 = 12n -1.
