1. Solution: B
Let us have N be a number that is always divisible by 22, 35, 48, and 61.
Then N – 4 will suit all the conditions given.
Hence
⇒N = LCM(26, 39,52, 65)
⇒N = LCM[LCM(26,39) , LCM(52,65)]⇒N = LCM[78,260]⇒N = 780
Hence, N – 4 = 780 – 4 = 776
2. Solution: C
We can write 319 as the product of numbers in just one way
⇒ 319 = 29 × 11
Hence we can assume that p = 29 and q = 11 (as p > q)
Now we need to find 3q – p
= 3 × 11 – 29
= 33 – 29
= 4
3. Solution: B
1. ‘Fledgling’ means a beginner in some activity or novice. ‘Destitution’ means poverty. ‘Indomitable’ means stubborn. ‘Squalor’ means filth/ poverty. Hence, B & D are the synonyms
Solution: C
2. ‘Prudent’ means wise. ‘Connoisseur’ means authority (in something). ‘Rash’ means impulsive/ thoughtless/ stupid. ‘Pummel’ means beat. Clearly, A & C are opposite in meaning and hence, option Dis the correct answer.
Solution: D
3. A ‘prolix’ speaker is one who speaks way more than what is required and doesn’t make much sense. The blank is looking for such a word which is evident from the fact that the audience started getting fidgety
Solution: B
1. A, 2. B 3. C
